An itinerary can be planned to suit every occasion from an Overnight Excursion of Fishing & Fun or an evening or day trip. THE OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE You will get to encounter the fight of Lake Taupo's world renowned Rainbow Trout which the crew will Bake or Sashimi for your enjoyment. Other activities may include Fly fishing, Jig Fishing, Down Rigger Fishing, Sightseeing - visit to the famous Maori Carvings, see waterfalls and remote mountain streams and rivers, native bush and bird life, visit lakeside villages, see volcanic rock formations or take a guided Bush Walk or casual stroll along beautiful beaches or have a Swim in the clear waters of the 'Great' Lake Taupo. Cruise the remote Western Bays where we will anchor for the night in one of our world’s most remote and tranquil hideaways. Dinner will be prepared onboard while you enjoy a few drinks and quality social time. Activities next morning will start with a continental or cooked breakfast, then Trout Fishing and a light hearted test of your skill with a Skeet Shoot (Clay Bird Shooting). Return to Taupo Boat Harbour at mid morning the following day.

GO BUSH is situated in the Heart of the King Country, Central North Island. The rugged landscape being the last area in New Zealand to be colonized and known for its towering native forests, central plateau lakes and mountains of the Tongariro National Park. With over 3000 acres of private native forest land, the Tangata Whenua (indigenous descendants) for a journey into hidden paradise of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Range of activities offered:
Wilderness Fishing
All fishing trips are fully catered. Meals, transport, riverside accommodation and guides. A limited number of fishing trips are done per year, to ensure a successful and memorable experience. 2-4 day trips available from 1 October to 30 June, yearly. With up to 20 Kilometers bordering on private family land, we have extensive knowledge of the river and its surrounding area.
Varying from large boulder rapids to deep slow moving pools, holding both rainbow and brown trout. For the experienced or novice angler, the fighting spirit of these mountain trout is considered second to none. After a day's fishing and a hot shower, relax by the outside fire and enjoy a home-cooked meal in a picture postcard setting.
