Hanmer Springs is situated around famous thermal hot pools. One can “sit and soak”; or be pampered with a private sauna, spa, massage, or other beauty treatments at the complex or at other private Clinics. Numerous other activities are also offered, including golf, horse-back treks, forest walks, jet boating, rafting, bungy jumping and shops selling NZ products.

Escorted day trips to go Whale Watching in Kaikoura or visit local vineyards in Waipara for wine tasting and lunch are offered also.
