unrestricted and sole access Wilderness lands. The base for your

New Zealand's largest
private hunting reserve, rising nearly 7,000 feet into the
Remarkables Range, just over ten miles from New Zealand's premier

Tahr, Wild Goat, Arapawa Ram and American Bison covering almost the
whole spectrum of New Zealand game.

An added attraction is complimentary small game, such as hare,
rabbit and opossums, while there is excellent fishing for rainbow
and brown trout in nearby rivers, Lake Hayes and Lake Wakatipu. The
Lodge is a world class facility, and provides everything including a
chef, spa pool, large barbecue area, formal dining room, house bar
and all the comforts of home. Set high in the hunting area and built
of natural materials, this luxurious hunting base provides

Fishing - The fishing fly guides will introduce you to large,
wild brown trout in crystal clear mountain rivers. This is done on a
daily basis in a variety of locations.
Hunting - Duck hunting guides provide guided duck hunts
for waterfowl, including Paradise, Grey, Mallard and Spoonbill
ducks, and Black Swan. You will have some really good waters on
approximately 20 different properties, within 30-60 minutes drive
from the Lodge and it is legal to bait ponds and to shoot a 5 shot
automatic in New Zealand. An average wing shot should get around 15
ducks per day. Most hunts are for 5 days.
Book Early as there are limited number of waterfowl hunts per
season.

Wilderness Hunting Area where
there is a “Fair Chase” hunting area which is situated on 12,500
acres of privately owned land with a wilderness area of 10,500 acres
reserved for hunting Tahr and Chamois. Guests enjoy exclusive use of
the wilderness area and hunts are personally guided by the owner.
Accommodation in a mountain cabin forty minutes from the homestead
or, alternatively, off-farm accommodation is available in excellent
home-stays. Access to the hunting areas is provided by 4WD vehicle
on safe, well maintained, high altitude roads. The best combination
is where the runholder and the guide are the same person so that no
additional costs are added to your hunt. This is seldom the case
when hunting Tahr, which is what makes this Wilderness and Hunting
Area an exciting option for the true fair chase hunter.
